A Family Wedding Film – Dylan & Ana

Four months ago, Danny and I attended one of the most beautiful, intimate weddings I’ve ever been to.

The fact that there were fewer than ten people in attendance made it one of the most solemn and sacred exchange of vows I’ve ever witnessed, and I couldn’t have been more grateful to be there.

I had only been back in Australia for two weeks then, fresh from Cebu, Philippines, and it was my first time visiting Northern Queensland. In nearly three years of living in Australia, I’d only ever lived in and explored Sydney.

I made this wedding film as a gift for my partner’s cousin, Ana, and her husband, Dylan. It was my way of preserving one of the happiest days of their lives—the quiet moments, the laughter, the happy tears, and their incredible love for each other.

I’m not a professional wedding filmmaker, and this was the very first wedding film I’ve ever made. But I do love telling stories. Creating this for Ana and Dylan was an absolute joy and an honour. It reminded me that the most meaningful things we make isn’t always for the algorithms only, but for the people we love and care about.

Ana and Dylan, thank you for letting me be part of such a beautiful day. I hope this film helps you relive these memories for years to come.

Love,

Maycee
